In conjunction with its national conference on November 6, 2011 Women Chefs & Restaurateurs (WCR) honored women who have demonstrated excellence in the culinary and hospitality industries at its 12th Annual Women Who Inspire gala dinner and awards ceremony sponsored by Food Arts magazine at the Hyatt Regency Cambridge.
Dame Judy Mattera, owner of
My Sweet Solutions and a member of our Boston Chapter, won the WCR Golden Bowl Award recognizing excellence in baking and pastry arts and honoring a woman whose skill in the baking and pastry arts inspires others. Judy's award winning dessert was Honey Custard Brûlée with dried fruit compote, goat cheese crema and vanilla shortbread.
