Les Dames d’Escoffier is an international association of women with careers in the hospitality industry. During its history, the Boston Chapter of this organization has awarded over $1 million in culinary scholarships to deserving students!
LDEI is sponsoring a Green Tables event, Feast on a Farm, to promote foods grown on local farms. Green Tables is an initiative of Les Dames d'Escoffier International which showcases the work of LDEI chapters engaged in linking urban and rural farms and gardens to school, restaurant and kitchen tables.
This year we are excited to partner with Future Chefs and The Food Project. Future Chefs is a non-profit organization which prepares motivated, low income Boston-area youth for early quality employment and post-secondary education in the culinary field where the demand for skilled professionals is consistently high. A portion of this year’s proceeds from our Feast on a Farm event will benefit the Future Chefs and The Food Project organizations.
